Revelation 18
• John Conn • Series: Revelation
Welcome back to Rise Up Tonight, where faith meets real life and the Word comes alive. Today, we’re diving into Revelation 18, a thunderous chapter that declares the final collapse of Babylon, that symbol of worldly power, corruption, and pride. This isn’t just about an ancient city or a future kingdom—it’s a spiritual wake-up call for us all. Babylon represents any system that opposes God, seduces with luxury, traffics in souls, and idolizes wealth over righteousness. In this chapter, we hear heaven cry out, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!” The judgment is swift, severe, and sure. What once looked untouchable is suddenly brought to ruin in a single hour. Merchants weep. Kings tremble. The world mourns its loss. But heaven rejoices. Why? Because justice is served. God is not blind to evil. He does not forget the cries of the broken. But here’s the heart-piercing call for us: “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins.” This isn’t just prophecy, it’s a plea. Step away from compromise. Let go of what God will one day bring down. Don’t grieve when Babylon falls if you were never meant to build your life there. Let’s not just study Revelation 18—let’s respond to it. It’s time to come out of Babylon, and into the Kingdom that cannot be shaken. See you next time, right here on Rise Up Tonight. Stay grounded. Stay ready. Stay faithful.
